The early 1960ties,”All My Friends Are Trombone Players.” recording of this song with George Roberts in a star role, always has been a favorite of mine.
I asked my friend Ilja Reijngoud if he could re-arrange this bass trombone evergreen and this is what he came up with.
What a great arrangement and what fun to play this together with him in our “The Home Sessions” series for publication on Spotify.
What a talented player, composer and arranger Ilja is and I’m so happy I have this new series as inspiration to keep playing my “retired” bass trombone.
